Speed and Agility Camp

The summer speed camps are the highlight of what we offer here at St. X and really focus on making our athletes faster and more powerful while addressing stability, mobility and proper running and movement mechanics. There will be two sessions of three weeks available. Note this is open to the entire student body and local community but is encouraged for all those students looking to participate in a sport here at St. X. Spots are limited and fill up quickly so I suggest if the days and times fit into their summer schedule to decide sooner rather than later.

Session 1 will run June 11th to June 27th on Tuesday/Thursday from 10-11 am on the St. X Track Field. Session 2 will run July 9th to July 25th on Tuesday/Thursday from 10-11am on the St. X Track Field. (In the event of bad weather all sessions will be moved indoors)

Participants can register online under the speed and agility tab or by turning in a paper form(PDF) to the St. Xavier Athletic office with a check made out to St. Xavier High School attn: Ben Yauss. All questions may be directed to Ben Yauss at byauss@stxavier.org or by phone at 513-310-4637.

Register online or register by mail and pay with a check made out to St. Xavier High School.

Freshman Football Strength and Conditioning

2019 St. Xavier H. S. Football Program for Incoming Freshmen Strength & Conditioning

Summer Session: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – June 14th – July 31s(7 Weeks)

The Freshman Football Development Program is open to any prospective football player coming into St. Xavier.  The program, supervised and staffed by Coach Terrell Williams and the St. Xavier High School Football Coaching Staff, emphasizes the correct fundamentals required for successful involvement in the physical development program.  Student athletes will learn the proper techniques expected and required of every level of the football program.  Athletes will have the opportunity to meet the coaching staff and familiarize themselves with St. Xavier High School.  It is our belief that establishing the basic fundamentals of our physical development program early in a football player’s career results in improved performance earlier in the student athlete’s career.

The summer sessions are designed to accommodate summer school course offerings to the incoming freshmen. Each summer session will be capped at 60 athletes in order to maximize the development of each individual.

Keep in mind that we offer early a.m. sessions (6:00, 7:30) for the JV and Varsity programs. In the event Coach Williams and the coaching staff believe an incoming freshman is fundamentally sound in his technique, they MAY give him the option of advancing to the higher intensity workout of the Varsity program.

Cost per student is $60/summer session.

Fee is non-refundable. Questions? Please contact our head football coach, Steve Specht at extension 325.
